STATEN ISLAND, NY – A 13-year-old boy was attacked and robbed near the campus of the College of Staten Island last Saturday. Today, Police released photos of the suspects wanted for assault and robbery.
Detectives with the New York City Police Department’s 121 Precinct reported that on Saturday, March 4, at around 2:30 pm, the 13-year-old male victim was walking near the intersection of Forest Hill Road and Willowbrook Road when four unknown suspects approached him.
One of the suspects sprayed the young victim with an unknown chemical substance while another started punching him repeatedly in the face.
“The remaining two individuals forcibly removed the victim’s backpack. The individuals demanded the victim hand over any other property on his person,” police reported. “The victim complied and gave the individuals approximately $40. The individuals fled the location on foot towards Boone Street.”
The boy sustained minor injuries and was transported by EMS to Richmond University Medical Center in stable condition.
At this time, no arrests have been made. The NYPD is asking the public to assist in identifying the suspects.
