As the woman attempted to escape by heading up the escalator, the assailant grabbed her, pulled down her pants, and tried to rape her. She fought to call 911, but the attacker snatched her cellphone and threw it over the escalator side before fleeing the station on foot. No injuries, but serious charges loom The victim was not physically injured, police said. The attacker fled to an unknown location, and has not been seen since. The NYPD is treating the case as an attempted rape and robbery due to the destruction of the victim’s phone. The man is described as being between 25 and 35 years old, with a light complexion, approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing around 120 pounds, with a thin build and black hair. He was last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, dark blue jeans, and white sneakers. NEW YORK, NY – Police are investigating a stabbing inside a Midtown Manhattan subway station that occurred on Saturday. According to police, four suspects approached 30-year-old male victim on the southbound 4 train platform at the 59th Street-Lexington Avenue subway station. The incident happened shortly after midnight.

The victim and the suspect engaged in a brief verbal altercation that turned physical. At one point, on of the attackers pulled a knife and stabbed the man in the torso.

The suspects fled the scene.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he was last listed in stable condition. No arrests have been made.

The New York City Police Department is asking anyone who can identify the suspects to contact them.
