74-year-old woman hospitalized after unprovoked attack in Queens

NEW YORK, NY – A 74-year-old woman was hospitalized with head and back injuries after being sucker punched by a male suspect in the area of 31st Drive and 140th Street.

Police arrived to find the 74-year-old woman injured on the ground. She was treated at the scene by EMS.

According to police, “At around 3:45 pm, the woman was walking in the vicinity of 31st Drive and 140th Street, when an unknown male individual struck the victim in the face with his hand, causing her to fall to the ground.”

The suspect fled the scene on foot heading east on 31st Drive.

He was described as a male, 5’10” in height, and approximately 180 lbs. He was last seen wearing a dark colored bubble coat, tan khaki pants, black surgical mask, and black sneakers.
