NYPD searching for suspect in Bronx robbery slashing

NEW YORK, NY – Police in New York City are searching for a slashing suspect wanted for an armed robbery in the Bronx last month. Today, the NYPD released a video of the suspect engaging with the victim in the area of Mansion Street and Beach Avenue in the Bronx.

The video shows the suspect arguing with a 50-year-old man. That argument escalated into a robbery and slashing.

Police said at around 7 pm, on February 15th,

According to the NYPD, the unidentified male attempted to forcibly remove a 50-year-old male victim’s wallet from his pants pocket.

“When the victim struggled, the individual slashed the victim in the hand with a knife,” NYPD said in a statement. “The individual was unsuccessful in removing any property from the victim and fled the scene westbound on Mansion Street in a dark colored Mini Cooper.”

The victim was treated on scene for a laceration by EMS.
