NEW YORK, NY – A 67-year-old man was found shot and killed inside an apartment in Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Police officers with the city’s 19th Precinct arrived on the scene after receiving a 911 call regarding the shooting.
When police entered the building, they found the elderly man with a gunshot wound to the head. He was unconscious and unresponsive.
FDNY EMS arrived on the scene to assist, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police did not release any information regarding suspects or motives at this time. No arrests have been made.
This is an ongoing investigation. The victim’s identity was not released pending notification of the family.
