NEW YORK, NY (UPDATED) – A New York City Sanitation Department employee was arrested on Sunday night in the Flatlands section of Brooklyn.
On Tuesday, Shore News Network learned he was officially charged with strangulation. The New York City Police Department has not released any details regarding the victim or the nature of the incident at this time.
Police said 42-year-old Alexander Auguste was arrested and charged by officers from the 63rd Precinct. The details of Auguste’s charges were not released by police.
The NYPD regularly released detailed information regarding crimes. When a city worker is arrested, information released by the city regarding the crime is minimal.
