Bronx man stabbed and killed Wednesday morning

NEW YORK, NY – A 51-year-old Bronx man was stabbed and killed shortly before noon on Wednesday. Police responded to the area of 680 Tinton Avenue at around 11:40 am after receiving a 911 call regarding an assault in front of the building.

When police arrived, they located 51-year-old Derrick Hamlin, of East 156th Street, with a stab wound to his neck. He was unconscious and unresponsive.

Hamlin was rushed to NYC & Health & Hospitals/Lincoln where he was later pronounced deceased.

Detectives with the 40th Precinct investigating the attack have not made any arrests or identified any suspects.
