NYPD identifies suspects in citywide armed robbery spree

NEW YORK, NY – A group of armed suspects terrorizing New York City business owners for the past week have been identified by police, now detectives with multiple precincts across the city are asking for the public to assist in identifying them.

The suspects are wanted for at least seven armed robberies throughout the city since Friday, February 17th.

The NYPD released information regarding the following incidents. If you were a victim of these suspects, please report the incident to the NYPD.

The police reported that at approximately 0200 hours on Friday, February 17, 2023, three males entered 232 Meserole Street, demanded money, and displayed a black firearm. One of the individuals proceeded behind the counter and removed approximately $4,000 from a cash register and NYS Lotto register. He then forcibly removed a wallet from a 31-year-old male victim. No injuries were reported from the incident on Meserole Street.

An unknown male entered a deli located at 200 Graham Avenue on Friday, February 17, 2023, at approximately 0206 hours. The individuals displayed a black firearm and took about $2500 from a cash register before fleeing in a gray vehicle. There were no reported injuries in this incident.

On Sunday, February 19, 2023, at approximately 2115 hours, four unknown male individuals entered a commercial establishment located at 224-25 Union Turnpike and displayed a firearm while demanding cash. Individuals took approximately $4,000 from a cash register and cellphones. They fled eastbound on Union Turnpike toward 226th Street. No injuries were reported.

On Sunday, February 19, 2023, at approximately 2130 hours, four unknown male individuals entered Hao Pi Dim Sum Express restaurant, located at 61-42 Springfield Boulevard, with a black firearm and demanded money. About $2,400 was taken from a cash register and a cellphone was taken from an employee. The individuals fled the location in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported.

Police were notified that three unknown males entered 183 Bedford Avenue Deli on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at approximately 0445 hours, with one displaying a black firearm. An individual jumped over the counter and removed approximately $4,000 from the cash register, five packs of cigarettes, and $1,300 from the jacket of a 36-year-old man. There were no reported injuries as a result of this attack. A 26-year-old male victim was pointed a firearm at and $10 was taken from him. The individuals fled on foot southbound on Driggs Avenue.

The police reported that two unidentified males approached a mobile food cart on Bedford Avenue and North 7th Avenue and demanded money on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at approximately 0458 a.m. One of the individuals then removed $400 from the 45-year-old male victim’s pocket. They fled south bound on North 7th Street. No injuries were reported.

Approximately 0505 a.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, three unknown male individuals entered Bola gas station located at 497 Meeker Avenue, displaying a black firearm. There were no reported injuries as a result of this incident. The individuals forcibly removed about $2,000 and 50 packs of cigarettes. They fled northbound on McGuiness Boulevard.

The individuals are described as male, 5’5”-5’8” in height, and believed to be in their 20’s.
