29-year-old shot and killed overnight in the Bronx

NEW YORK, NY – Detectives with the NYPD’s 44th Precinct have reported the shooting death of a 29-year-old in the Bronx Saturday night.

According to police, at around 11 pm, officers responded to a 911 call of an assault at 1305 Sheridan Avenue.

“Upon arrival, officers observed a 29-year-old male with a gun shot wound to the chest and head in front of the location,” the NYPD said in a statement Sunday morning.

FDNY EMS took the male victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/ Lincoln where he was pronounced deceased.

At this time, no arrests have been made and no suspects have been identified. The victim’s name was withheld by police pending notification of family.
