NEW YORK, NY – A 15-year-old boy was violently attacked by six attackers while standing on the corner of Morris Avenue and East 174th Street in the Bronx on Monday.
Detectives with the New York City Police Department’s 44th Precinct are now asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals responsible for the attack.
At around 5 pm, the six males suspects approached the 15-year-old at the intersection and began attacking him.
“Six unknown male individuals approached the victim and started punching him,” the NYPD said today in a statement. “One of the male individuals then stabbed the victim several times in the torso with a knife. A second male individual displayed a firearm and discharged several rounds in the direction of the victim.”
No injuries were reported as a result of the gunfire.
The boy was rushed to Lincoln Hospital and treated for injuries to the torso, he is listed in stable condition.
The suspects all fled the scene. At this time, no arrests have been made and the teen is continuing his recovery.
