Fight inside McDonald's near Yankee Stadium sends one to hospital with fractured jaw

NEW YORK, NY – A fight inside the McDonald’s restaurant directly across the street from Yankee Stadium ended after a good Samaritan trying to break up the fight was assault and sent to the hospital.

According to investigators with the 44th Precinct, officers were dispatched the McDonald’s at 51 East 161st Street Sunday morning.

At around 6:30 am, a 32-year-old male victim tried to break up a fight between two others inside the restaurant. As he was trying to end the fight, a fourth male, not involved in the altercation approached him and punched him in the face.

The man fell to the floor as the suspects fled the restaurant.

“The individual that assaulted the victim fled the location in an unknown direction,” police said today. “The initial two individuals involved in the dispute are not being sought in regard. The only individual being sought is the individual that assaulted the victim.”

NYFD EMS responded and transported the aided victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln in stable condition where he was treated for a fractured jaw.
