LANDOVER, MD – Detectives with the Prince George’s County Police Department have arrested four teens in connection with two armed carjackings.
In Landover, Maryland, two suspects attempted to carjack a food delivery driver at gunpoint on Tuesday, at approximately 8:30 p.m. At approximately 8:50 pm on Wednesday, detectives from the PGPD’s Washington Area Vehicle Enforcement (WAVE) team located the carjacked vehicle in the 7700 block of Allendale Drive and stopped it.
A 17-year-old male and a 16-year-old male fled the car, but were quickly arrested after a brief foot pursuit with the assistance of the PGPD’s Guardian One helicopter. A loaded gun and 76 grams of marijuana were recovered.
The 16-year-old was arrested in April of 2022 for the carjacking of a food delivery driver. The two teenagers are being charged as adults with firearms offenses and possession of stolen vehicles.
The criminal charges were filed as a juvenile for armed carjacking in that case.
Another carjacking occurred on December 19, 2022, at approximately 8 p.m. in Landover Hills when a victim was robbed at gunpoint along Annapolis Road.
Detectives assigned to the Carjacking Interdiction Unit and WAVE located the suspect’s car in the 8200 block of Annapolis Road on Wednesday, at approximately 9:15 pm.
The detectives stopped the suspect’s car in the 8200 block of Annapolis Road and arrested the two occupants. Two loaded firearms were recovered from the suspects, Sean Franklin Mills, 19, of Capitol Heights, and Gregory Parker, 19, of Northeast, Washington, DC. As a result of an armed carjacking on December 4, 2022, the suspects’ car was used for Monday’s carjacking.
They have been charged with carjacking in connection with the case of Monday. Additional charges are being pending.
