Two teens stabbed, one killed in Union City

UNION CITY, NJ – Police are investigating a double stabbing incident that left one teenager dead in Union City on Tuesday.

A 15-year-old juvenile was stabbed to death on Tuesday. An investigation is being conducted by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Union City Police Department.

Police in Union City were notified at approximately 6:24 p.m. of a reported stabbing at 40th Street and New York Avenue. When police arrived in the vicinity of 40th Street and Bergenline Avenue, they found two juvenile males with apparent stab wounds.

Upon arrival at Christ Hospital in Jersey City, Allen Flores, 15, was pronounced dead at 7:08 p.m. The cause and manner of death will be determined by the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.

The second juvenile, a 16-year-old Union City male, is being treated at a local hospital for a stab wound that is not considered to be life-threatening.

At this time, no arrests have been made. Police did not release any further information.
