MIDDLETOWN, PA – Middletown police officers in conjunction with members of the community have raised $20,000 to help spread the holiday cheer to underserved families in the community,
“In 5 short days, so many of you opened your hearts and your wallets in order to help us reach our Shop With A Cop goal of $20,000.00!! The monies raised will be used to help us brighten the holidays for Bucks County families who need some extra help this holiday season. Well, in those 5 days, we were hoping to raise $5,000.00 in order to meet our goal,” the Department said. “But, because of all of you, we raised $7,000.00 for a total of $22,000.00!! Saying thank you doesn’t seem like enough, so we hope when we share photos from this Saturday’s Shop With A Cop event, that that will be the gift of thanks, as you see how you were able to bless and brighten so many children’s holidays.. God bless and know how grateful we are to serve such a fantastic community!!”
In addition to the Shop with a Cop event, the Wagner Family and Kanan’s Krew made a large donation in memory of their son who was taken early from us. This is the family’s third drive.
“They took all of their monetary donations and filled our wagon with tons of toys to be handed out for the holidays. Thank you all so much for what you do,” the department said.
