In Montgomery County, you won't get away with murder as police boast 100% closure rate

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD – If you’re going to murder somebody, chances are, in Montgomery County, you’re going to get caught by the hard-working detectives and investigators here.

After the indictment on Tuesday of 19-year-old Kyler Mcroy for the murder of Keon Jones, the Montgomery County Police Department has a 100% closure rate for homicides in 2022.

According to police, on February 10, 5th District officers responded to the location of Cinnamon Drive and Mustard Seed Court for the report of a shooting.

“Officers arrived at the scene and located an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Officers provided life saving measures until fire rescue arrived and transported Jones to a nearby hospital in critical condition.”

Jones died the next day in the hospital.

Mcroy was identified as the suspect and arrested on October 27th.
