Earlier this week, President Joe Biden engaged in his latest gaffe; this time, he was speaking to the dead during a health and nutrition speech in Indiana. He called Congresswoman Jackie Walorski, who passed away in an automobile accident in August.
“So many of you know so much about this as well, and you’re committed,” Biden said in a slow and subdued, almost slurring voice. “Including bi-partisan elected officials…Jackie, you here? Where’s Jackie? I think she was going to be here.”
Unfortunately, Jackie Walorksi had no plans to attend the event. On August 4th, Walorski, 58, a Republican and two staffers were killed in a tragic motor vehicle crash when her vehicle crossed the center line and collided with another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre deflected questions asked by Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy who questioned the President’s gaffe. If you remember, Biden had called Doccy a ‘dumb son-of-a-bitch’ in January.
Now, Doocy just wanted to know why the President of the United States was calling on a deceased congresswoman.
Jean-Pierre said Biden had the congresswoman at the ‘top of mind’ and was calling out congressional leaders who supported the issue of food insecurity.
“She was on top of mind. That is not an unusual scenario there,” she said.
“I have John Lennon on top of mind just about every day, but I’m not looking around for him anywhere,” Doocy said.
“When you sign a bill for John Lennon as President, then we can have this conversation,” she replied, later calling Doocy rude for continuing to question the incident.
