NEW YORK, NY – Police and New York City are investigating after a moped rider and Brooklyn has been riding around groping and harassing women across the borough.
So far the New York City Police Department has identified and confirmed three incidents a forcible touching and groping by the moped Rider between August 28th and September 8th.
The following incidents are attributed to the same suspect:
A 23-year-old female victim was walking when the individual riding on a moped drove alongside her and forcibly grabbed her buttocks.
A 38-year-old female victim was walking her dog when the individual riding on a moped approached her from behind and forcibly grabbed her groin.
A 40-year-old female victim was walking when the individual riding on a moped approached her from behind and forcibly grabbed her buttocks.
A 33-year-old female victim was walking when a male riding on a moped approached her from behind and forcibly grabbed her groin and buttocks. The individual fled riding on the moped.
A 20-year-old female victim was walking when an unknown male riding on a moped approached from behind and smacked the victim’s buttocks with an open hand.
Today, the New York City Police Department released a photo of the man suspected in the five confirmed groping incidents. In each case, the suspect assaulted the women and fled on his moped.
