NEW YORK, NY – Last night, 31 officers from the New York City Police Department were recognized at the annual HOPE awards for their life-saving efforts. Shortly after, the NYPD was called into action to save another life.
A woman was sitting on the edge of a ledge of a New York City building, in distress. Upon their arrival, officers found a good samaritan on the scene trying to persuade the woman from jumping. Police took over the scene, and after hours of continued efforts, ESU convinced the woman to return to the building where she was taken into custody.
