New York, NY- the New York City Police Department today reported that a fifteen-year-old boy was shot in the abdomen and killed in a Brooklyn Park near his high school Wednesday afternoon.

According to the police the shooting happened at McLaughlin park at the intersection of Tillary and Jay Street at around 1:45 p.m.

In broad daylight, shooting took place just blocks away from Brooklyn Laboratory High School what’s the deceased teenager attended.

According to police, the teenager was sitting on a park bench with two female friends. At one point two males approached the student and an argument ensued. That argument led to one of the suspects pulling a gun and fired one shot striking him in the abdomen. The boy was rushed to New York Presbyterian Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn where he was pronounced dead a short time later. The two suspects were possibly school-age males wearing ski masks.

The suspects fled eastbound on Tillery Street on foot.

According to police investigating the incident, no suspects or motives have been announced at this time. No arrests have been made.
