Atlantic City Vice Squad Arrests Six in Anti-Drug Operation

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – On the evening of August 31, 2022 and into the early morning hours of September 1, 2022, members of the Atlantic City Police Department’s Special Investigations Section conducted a surveillance operation in the 1500 block of Atlantic Avenue and the 2600 block of Pacific Avenue. As a result of this operation, six individuals were arrested and charged with numerous CDS related offenses. The operation yielded approximately eight grams of cocaine and 150 individual wax folds of heroin. $970.00 in US currency, believed to be proceeds of illegal narcotics sales, was also recovered. Detectives also arrested a male who was wanted for a recent robbery.

ARRESTED: Nasir Morgan, 19, of Absecon, NJ.
CHARGES: Possession of CDS (2 Counts), possession with the intent to distribute CDS (2 Counts), and contempt of court.

ARRESTED: Nasario Hernandez, 32, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Possession of CDS (2 Counts).

ARRESTED: Davin Wearing, 30, of Philadelphia, PA.
CHARGES: Possession of CDS, possession with the intent to distribute CDS, and distribution of CDS within 1000 feet a school.

ARRESTED: Donte Braxton, 24, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Contempt of Court for violation of drug restraining order.

ARRESTED: Terrence Cooper, 33, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Contempt of court for violation of drug restraining order, possession of CDS, possession with the intent to distribute CDS, and distribution of CDS within 500 feet of a public building.

ARRESTED: Garver Vila, 41, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Contempt of court for a recent robbery charge and possession of CDS paraphernalia.

Morgan and Vila were remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility. Braxton, Wearing, Cooper, and Hernandez were issued summonses pending a future court appearance. The public is reminded that charges are mere allegations and the accused are considered innocent until proven guilty.
