TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Newark Peace Event Could Cause 24-Hour Traffic Problems

NEWARK, NJ – Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé announces that the following streets will be closed during the below designated hours due to the City of Newark’s 24-Hours of Peace event:

Beginning from 7 a.m., Friday, September 2, 2022, to 11 p.m., Saturday, September 3, 2022

· Springfield Avenue between Jacob Street and Bergen Street
· Littleton Avenue between 16th Avenue and Springfield Avenue
· Fairmount Avenue between 16th Avenue and Springfield Avenue
· Bergen Street between 16th Avenue and 18th Avenue
· South 6th Street between 16th Avenue and Springfield Avenue

Drivers are advised to anticipate delays and to plan alternate routes.
