What's Going There? Construction Project on Whitesville Road

JACKSON, NJ – If you drive down Whitesville Road, you probably noticed a large clearing of land being prepared for site utility work and improvement, but what is going here? An office building? A strip mall? A house of worship?

The township approved this development project back in 2018 and this week, the MUA began running water lines to the site.

The site is one of two large projects that are taking place along the once quiet and wooded section of Whitesville Road.

In 2018, two developers applied to the Jackson Municipal Utilities Authority for preliminary approval of water and sewer services.

The commission granted preliminary sewer and water approval to projects known as Denton Pines and Pine Rock Walk.

Denton Pines will consist of 29 lots on a 24-acre parcel, to include 6 affordable housing units on the northbound side of Whitesville Road, north of Denton Avenue.  The property is owned by Professional Design, based out of 133 4th Street in Lakewood.

The commission also granted preliminary sewer and water approval to Pinerock Walk at Jackson, Block 19501, Lots 29 and 30, on the Tax Map of the Township of Jackson.

Pine Rock Walk is a 22-acre parcel in which the builder seeks to build 46 homes on the southbound side of Whitesville Road just south of the East Veterans Highway intersection. The property is owned by Yerek Jackson 46 LLC based out of 742 Ocean Avenue in Lakewood Township.
