HANOVER, MD – Police have identified a 12-year-old girl as one of three suspects wanted in an armed robbery of a rideshare driver in Hanover Wednesday night.

The incident happened at approximately midnight when an Anne Arundel County police officer was approached by a 39-year-old male victim who reported he was robbed while working as an unlicensed car for hire in the area of Clark Road in Hanover.

“The victim picked up two females to give them a ride from Hanover to Bladensburg. A Hispanic male wearing a ski mask also got into the vehicle with the females,” police said. “The male suspect placed a handgun against the victim’s head and demanded money and the victim’s cell phone.”

All three occupants then fled. The other two suspects were described as a 20-year-old Hispanic female and a 25-year-old Hispanic male gunman.

Officers searched the area where the robbery occurred and located the victim’s phone on the shoulder of the road. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
