Yankees Pitcher Michael King Chooses the Jersey Shore for Much Needed Relief During All-Star Break

TOMS RIVER, NJ – After a recent Yankees game, New York Yankees announcer Michael Kaye broke the news, Yankees pitcher Michael King has chosen the Jersey Shore over other more extravagant destinations often frequented by professional athletes.

Many choose to go on extravagant vacations to the Caribbean, Mexico, or other destinations. King, who is an alternate for the Major League Baseball All-Star Game, will instead choose to stay close and enjoy his three days off…unless he’s called to play.

Former Yankees legend agreed with King’s travel plans saying it’s a great way to get a full three days of rest and relaxation without the hassles of air travel.

The Jersey Shore is located about an hour and a half from Yankee Stadium.

Yankees Manager Aaron Boone said King doesn’t deserve to be at the Jersey Shore, instead says he should have been selected for the All-Star team.

“As I got the group together,” Boone said after the game. “One of the things was, there’s a number of other guys here including Michael King, who are deserving or certainly worthy of consideration, and I know certainly aware of what Michael has been in our bullpen this year. He’s been enormous. I think he deserves it. You never know how this last week will go.”

Where King will be staying is of course a secret.
