Do You Know Him? Philadelphia Murder Suspect Who Killed 77-Year-Old Sought by Police

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Police in Philadelphia are searching for wanted murder suspect Wagner Tajeda Pena, 24, who is a suspect in a June 21 murder on L Street.

According to police, officers from the 24th District responded to a radio call for a person with a gun. Upon their arrival, the officers discovered 77-year-old Loi Nguyen lying in an alleyway with a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was pronounced dead at 5:44 am by medics at the scene.

Tejada Pena is also wanted for an aggravated assault that occurred approximately 15 minutes before the homicide on the 1200 block of East Luzerne at 4:52 in the morning.

“For unknown reasons, Smith pulled a handgun on two complainants and pulled the trigger several times in an attempt to discharge the weapon, but the gun malfunctioned,” police said. “In an effort to disarm Tejeda- Pena, the complainants engaged in a physical altercation. However, they were unsuccessful at disarming him, and he fled the location; the complainants were not injured.
