FOREST HILLS, PA – A female road crew worker was struck by a dump truck at a work site in the area of Lafayette Road and Ardmore Boulevard in Forest Hills Tuesday morning.

The Allegheny County Police Department reported at approximately 10:49 am on Tuesday, a 30-year-old female was struck by a construction vehicle in the area of Lafayette Road and Ardmore Blvd.

“The victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. Investigators learned the victim who was working as a flagger was struck by a dump truck as it was backing up,” the department said.

The incident is now under investigation by Allegheny County homicide detectives.

Detectives initiated an investigation.
