LAUREL, NJ – A Washington, D.C. man who police say was under the influence with a stolen gun, was arrested after crashing his xcar in Laurel Monday morning.

Police arrested 31-year-old Rodney Jackson at around 3:30 am this morning when officers responded for a report of a motor vehicle accident in the area of Old Jessup Road and Jessup Road in Jessup.

“Officers located the single-vehicle involved and, during their investigation, discovered that the driver was driving under the influence,” the Anne Arundel Police Department said. “While conducting an inventory of the vehicle, officers located a loaded handgun. Officers learned that the handgun was reported stolen in Virginia. The driver was arrested and charged accordingly.”
