Silver Spring Man Killed in ATV Crash

SILVER SPRING, MD – A Silver Spring man was killed Friday while riding an ATV in the area of the 1100 block of Briggs Chaney Road. Police say 52-year-old Paul Benedict Herbert was riding the ATV on private property when the collision occurred.

At approximately 5:14 p.m., 4th District officers responded to the location for the report of a single vehicle collision that occurred on private property.

“The investigation by detectives has determined that Herbert was involved in a collision while on an ATV,” police said. “He sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.”
