One Dead in New Carrollton Pedestrian Involve Crash Saturday Night

NEW CARROLLTON, MD (PRESS RELEASE) – The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian that occurred in New Carrollton Saturday night. The identity of the man is being withheld pending notification to his family. On May 21, 2022, at approximately 10:00 pm, officers responded to a pedestrian collision in the 9000 block of Annapolis Road.  Once on scene, they discovered the decedent in the roadway. He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced deceased.  

The preliminary investigation suggests that the decedent was struck by a vehicle as he attempted to cross Annapolis Road.  The driver of the striking vehicle remained on scene and was not injured.
