SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY – A level two registered sex offender in Suffolk County is facing new charges after police found photos of lewd images on his cellphone.
According to police, during a routine check of Keith Schoelermann, a Level 2 Sex Offender, by Suffolk County Probation officers, an unregistered cellphone was located that contained child [censored]ography.
“Probation officers and Suffolk County Police Computer Crimes Unit detectives, along with Seventh Precinct Community Support Unit officers, subsequently executed a search warrant at Schoelermann’s home,” police said.
Schoelermann, 29, of Grove Road West, Mastic Beach, was charged with Possessing Sexual Performance by a Child and Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child.
