SPRINGVILLE – Police said 33-year-old Roberto Perez-Ramos of Springville was the man who was responsible for a serious stabbing incident on South Cascade Drive in the Village of Springville Friday night.

According to police, at approximately 8:18 p.m., the Erie County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a first aid call at a residential complex on South Cascade Drive in the Village of Springville.

“When deputies arrived, they found the male victim outside of the complex with severe lacerations and stab wounds,” Erie County Prosecutor John Flynn said. “The defendant is accused of assaulting the victim with a broken glass bottle, which resulted in serious physical injuries. A broken beer bottle was recovered from the scene.”

Police said the victim was taken by ambulance to Bertrand-Chaffee Hospital before being transported by Mercy Flight to ECMC. The victim was released after being treated for injuries to his face, ear and chest.

Ramirez is now facing up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
