President Joe Biden’s FDA Commissioner Robert Califf claimed there is no baby formula shortage, just a “distribution problem,” during a segment on CNN’s “New Day” with Brianna Keilar and John Berman. Califf said prior to the February recall, baby formula was stocked at 90%, and after, it fell to just 79%.
“First of all the numbers quoted commonly by the press are incorrect,” he said, adding the shortages only affect parts of the country. “We’re on the way back up now. More formula was bought last month than in the month before the recall. We have a distribution problem.”
