MCKEESPORT, MD (POLICE REPORT) – On Friday, April 22, 2022, at approximately 1:34 PM, the McKeesport Police responded to the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Market Street for a report of a male shot. Officers discovered 22-year old Michael Gunter suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at the intersection of Lysle Blvd and Market Street.
Gunter was transported to an area Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. McKeesport Police requested the investigative assistance of the Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit.
County Police determined 25-year-old Vernon Dean Eutsey of Pittsburgh was the person responsible for the homicide. On April 23, 2022, county police obtained an arrest warrant for Eutsey charging him with criminal homicide, tampering with evidence, person not to possess firearms and recklessly endangering another person. Eutsey is currently at large.
