Entire Town of Middletown to Lose Power About Four Hours on April 27th

MIDDLETOWN, DE – If you live in Middletown, the township government is reminding residents that on Wednesday, April 27th, the town will lose power for about four hours.

“Residents / electric customers are going to be receiving calls from our automated system this afternoon. We are calling to inform you about an upcoming electric outage that will affect the entire Town of Middletown (Those who are customers of Town of Middletown electric department and pay utility bills to the Town of Middletown / Mayor & Council of Middletown.,” the town said. “Delmarva Power is required for Federal Compliance, to test its 138 KV relays that connect to the Town of Middletown’s electric substation, therefore, power will be disconnected to the Town on Wednesday morning, April 27, between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. Please make plans accordingly to undergo this potential four-hour outage.”
