South River Crime Report: March 14-20

SOUTH RIVER, NJ – The South River Police Department has released information about criminal and police-related incidents for the week of March 14-20, 2022. These reports highlight noteworthy incidents that occur on a day-to-day basis to keep the community informed.

DUI, Ferry Street on 3/18 @ 0209 hours – A male was placed under arrest and charged with driving under the influence and other motor vehicle infractions. Ptl. Brian Presti was the arresting officer.

FUEL LEAK, Main Street pm 3/18 @ 1958 hours – Patrol units and South River Fire Department responded to a report of a tank leaking fuel in the roadway. The spill was subsequently cleaned up with the assistance of Middlesex County HAZMAT.

MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT, Prospect Street on 3/19 @ 0146 hours – Patrol units and EMS responded to a motor vehicle accident in which a utility pole was struck. One individual was treated for minor injuries.

DUI, Main Street on 3/19 @ 0454 hours – A male was placed under arrest and charged with driving under the influence and other motor vehicle infractions. Ptl. Matthew McCann was the arresting officer.
