PHILADELPHIA, PA – Timothy Robinson, 62, was charged with involuntary manslaughter, homicide by vehicle, homicide by vehicle while DUI, DUI, reckless endangerment of another person, and reckless driving for the fatal car crash which killed a 3 year old on March 28, 2022.

Robinson was driving his black Nissan Rogue on West Girard Avenue shortly before 11am on Monday morning when his vehicle jumped a curb and hit a mother and child. The child was pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital while the mother escaped injury.

“My heart is broken for this child, and for the family that now grieves such a terrible loss. Intoxicated driving is never okay, and this tragedy is why. My office will work to hold Mr. Robinson accountable, but I also want to re-commit to working with our public safety partners in the city to confront traffic violence for the public safety threat that it is. Safe sidewalks and streets for all should be considered baseline amenities in all Philadelphia communities,” District Attorney Larry Krasner said.

A drug analysis of the materials recovered from Robinson’s car by law enforcement are awaiting results.
