New Jersey State Police Chief Provides Personal Tour of HQ to Aspiring Law Enforcement Officers

EWING, NJ – When you’re looking for a career in law enforcement, it always helps to know people at the top. This week, Colonel Patrick J. Callahan met with Dayona Gilbert and Kaddin Berry, both sophomores at Kean University and personally guided them on a tour of State Police Headquarters in Ewing, N.J.

“The Colonel recently met Dayona and Kaddin, who are both majoring in criminal justice, when he was selected as the inaugural speaker for Kean University’s Distinguished Lecture Series and invited them to visit Division Headquarters,’ the New Jersey State Police said in a statement.

During their visit, the Colonel was more than willing to give them a guided tour of the New Jersey State Police Museum & Learning Center along with the Regional Operations and Intelligence Center (ROIC).

Callahan spent time with the two students, aspiring for a career in law enforcement after college, showing them some of the 100-year history at the museum and talking about the future of policing inside the ROIC, which contains our most advanced technology.

“We wish both Dayona and Kaddin well as they continue their college education,” the NJSP said.
