BALTIMORE, MD – A man who was shot in the area of South Monastery Avenue was rushed to the hospital by first responders but later died from his wounds.
The Baltimore Police Department reports on Sunday, at approximately 1:09 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 200 block of South Monastery Avenue to investigate a reported shooting.
“When officers arrived at the location they observed a 33-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center and pronounced dead by medical personnel,” the Baltimore Police Department said.
Homicide detectives responded to the scene and assumed control over the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact investigators, at 410-396-2100.
