Three alleged porch pirates arrested in Kent County

Kent County, DE- Delaware State Police arrested three Kent County residents on Friday for multiple thefts of porch packages and lawn ornaments.

Over the past several months, the Delaware State Police have been investigating numerous thefts of packages from porches and lawn ornaments/figurines from front yards in the Houston, Felton, Harrington, and Magnolia areas. On February 9, 2022, troopers requested the public’s assistance in identifying a possible suspect through a social media post. Thanks to the community’s help, three suspects were identified and arrested. They are Russell A. Griffin, 45, of Magnolia; Lawrence Evans, 43, of Magnolia; and Dawn Shockley, 37, of Magnolia. On February 18, 2022, troopers responded to a home on Riley Dr., Magnolia, and arrested Dawn Shockley and Lawrence Evans. Additionally, troopers took Russell Griffin into custody after a brief foot pursuit.
