HARRISBURG, PA – On Tuesday, February 15th, at about 3:30 pm, the Harrisburg Police and United States Marshals Service took Baasil Sheppard into custody inside of a residence in the area of South 15th and Swatara Streets, in Harrisburg. Sheppard was wanted in connection to a shooting incident that took place in the 2300 block of Derry Street on September 27th of 2021, where one adult male was shot. Sheppard had been charged with criminal attempt homicide, aggravated assault, and various firearms offenses in reference to that investigation. Sheppard was also sought for a separate incident where he had been charged with simple assault and terroristic threats, in reference to a domestic assault investigation.
