DALLAS, TEXAS – On Sunday, January 30, 2022, at approximately 1:05 a.m., Dallas police responded to a robbery call at 2800 Gould Street. The unknown victim, an 82-year old white male, was found on the ground in the street with his face covered in blood. Dallas Fire-Rescue transported the victim to an area hospital, where he died from homicidal violence.

UPDATE : Through this investigation, the Homicide Unit determined that suspect Darren Marcel Hanson, a 32-year old black male, was responsible for the murder of the victim, Charles Edward Tillery, an 82-year old white male. Suspect Hanson has been charged with Capital Murder and a magistrate will set his bond.
