Wilmington, DE- A traffic stop in Wilmington has lead to the arrest of several individuals on drug charges.
Delaware State Police arrested Amine Johnson, 24, of Lansdowne, PA, Cache Hill, 23, of Philadelphia, PA, Lasair Scott, 22, of Philadelphia, PA, and Sharae Matthews, 22, of Upper Darby, PA, on multiple drug and weapon charges following an early Sunday morning traffic stop.
On January 30, 2022, at approximately 4:11 a.m., a trooper conducting traffic enforcement on southbound Concord Pike observed a black 2018 Nissan Rogue traveling southbound on Concord Pike commit a traffic violation. A traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle, and the driver pulled into the parking lot of TGI Fridays located at 301 Rocky Run Parkway. Contact was made with the driver Amine Johnson, front-seat passenger Cache Hill, left rear passenger Lasair Scott, and right rear passenger Sharae Matthews. During the interaction with the occupants, an odor of marijuana was detected, and a criminal investigation ensued.
A search of Amine Johnson incident to arrest was conducted, and located on his person were 48 assorted pills consisting of Amphetamine pills, Kurvelo pills, an unknown pill, and 18 ecstasy pills. A computer inquiry was conducted on all occupants, and it was discovered Lasair Scott was wanted on an out-of-state warrant. A search of Scott was conducted, and 60 Xanax pills and approximately 23.04 grams of suspected crystal meth were located. He was taken into custody without incident. When Cache Hill exited the vehicle, a plastic bag was observed in plain view sticking out of a black purse in her possession with approximately 23.68 grams of suspected cocaine and crack cocaine inside.
