PENSACOLA, FL – On January 18th, around 2:50 am, ECSO deputies were called to a bank located in the 70-block of South Blue Angel Parkway in reference to a theft in progress by two suspects.
Deputy Colton Clark and Deputy James Morris were the first on the scene and placed suspect, Maurice Ellis, in handcuffs. When other deputies arrived, they found the bank drive-thru ATM with the bottom door pried open. A pry bar and axe were found lying on the ground in a nearby ditch.
Maurice Ellis was arrested and charged with burglary of a business, possession of burglary tools, and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.
