Port St. Lucie, FL – An act of kindness has been reported in Port St. Lucie.
Port St. Lucie Police Officer Rodgers recently responded to a call for service and learned that a neighborhood boy, Michael was playing basketball on a neighbor’s hoop because his hoop was old and broken.
Without hesitation, Officer Rodgers decided he wanted to help Michael and went to Walmart to purchase him a new basketball hoop with his own money. The remarkable part….Officer Rodgers was recently hired in November and is still in the field training program. Part of the hiring process is to ensure our new Officers are going to be a good fit with our community.
