FAYETTEVILLE, NC – On December 12, 2021, at 12:06 am, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department were dispatched to a reported shooting along the 300 block of Stuart Avenue.
The preliminary investigation has revealed one adult male victim was shot multiple times in front of the residence. He was transported to Cape Fear Valley Hospital by EMS where he was pronounced deceased.
The victim has been identified as Malik Singletary, (B/M, 21 years of age) of the 200 block of Singletary Street, Raeford, NC. His next of kin has been notified. This does not appear to be a random incident.
Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit are on scene, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
