PITTSBURGH, PA – On November 27, 2021 at approximately 10:21 PM, the Avalon Police Department responded to the 100 block of California Avenue for the report of a shooting. First responders arrived on scene and located the victim, a 38-year-old male, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The Avalon Police Department requested the investigative assistance of the Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit. Detectives responded and initiated an investigation.
County Police determined that 31-year-old Brennan Lamar Fife of Avalon was the person responsible for the homicide, and an arrest warrant was obtained. Fife was apprehended at the time of the shooting. Fife was charged with criminal homicide. Fife is currently lodged in the Allegheny County Jail.
