STAFFORD TOWNSHIP, NJ – A man who ‘engaged in various stages of lewd an inappropriate acts’ while at his front door in front of a school bus stop has been charged by police and they say it’s not the first time.
On October 21, 2021 at approximately 7:25 AM, the Stafford Township Police Department arrested 66-year-old Anthony Buonavolonta, of Spar Road in the Ocean Acres section of Manahawkin, charging him with four counts of Lewdness.
On Thursday, the Stafford Township School District Transportation personnel reported Buonavolonta had been standing in the doorway of his residence, in plain view from the roadway, engaged in various stages of lewd and inappropriate acts. Buonavolonta was engaged in this behavior while the bus was stopped in front of his residence for the morning child pick-up.
On October 21st a follow-up investigation was initiated by the Stafford Township Police Department’s Detective Bureau.
During the follow-up investigation, Stafford Township Police Detectives observed Buonavolonta’s acts of lewdness and inappropriate acts, and he was subsequently arrested at his residence.
Buonavolonta was transported to the Stafford Township Police Department headquarters, where he was charged for four separate incidents, which had occurred between October 13th and October 21st.
Buonavolonta was later released on his own recognizance pending a future court appearance in Ocean County Superior Court.
