Baby boy found safe after mom’s car stolen while picking up takeout

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A baby boy is safe and back home with his family Philadelphia police reported after he was taken with his car as his mom picked up her takeout food order.

It happened at 10 p.m. on Wednesday near the intersection of Cottman Avenue and Horrocks Street in Northeast Philadelphia.

Police have reported that the vehicle was stolen after the mother ran inside to pick up her order when a car thief saw it running and drove off with it, along with her baby.

About 30 minutes later, the vehicle and baby were found near Tabor Road and Adams Avenue. The suspect is still at large.
