Beachwood suspicious vehicle call turns into drug arrest

BEACHWOOD, NJ – On July 11, 2021, officers responded to the CVS parking lot at 300 Atlantic City Blvd for a report of a suspicious male sleeping in a vehicle. Officer Chad Anthony and K-9 Officer William Manganiello responded to the establishment and located the male, identified during their investigation as Andrew Stanowski of Beachwood, and checked on the male’s well-being.

Further investigation revealed that Mr. Stanowski had multiple warrants for his arrest and was taken into custody on the strength of those warrants. Additionally, Mr. Stanowski indicated to the arresting officers that there may be CDS in his vehicle. At that time, K-9 Handler Manganiello retrieved K-9 Ace from his patrol vehicle and conducted a free air sniff of Mr. Stanowskis’ motor vehicle for narcotics which yielded a positive indication of narcotics being present inside the motor vehicle.

A search of the motor vehicle was conducted, Mr. Stanowski was found to be in possession of 8 bags of Heroin and 2 hypodermic needles. Mr. Stanowski was processed and charged with possession of heroin and possession of a hypodermic needle. Mr. Stanowski was released to the custody of Howell Twp Police Department for an outstanding warrant and transported to Monmouth County Jail.
