Teen,14 shot in critical condition after surgery

COLUMBUS, OH – On July 8, 2021, at 10:45 pm, Columbus Police Patrol Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of E. 26th Ave. on the report of a shooting. While en route, there were two ShotSpotter alerts, indicating there were several gunshots in the same area. Upon arrival, officers located a 14-year-old male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital in critical condition and was rushed to surgery.

The victim was out of surgery and is expected to survive his injuries.
